About Us
Toupret has been developing and manufacturing wall fillers for painters and decorators since 1938. With its reputation for technical excellence and innovation, this French family business has gradually expanded into 33 countries and now has 5 manufacturing sites worldwide.
1938
Désiré Jardin established his own business on a simple but innovative basis: He wanted to supply painters and decorators with a ready-to-use wall filler to make their life easier. Thus the first Toupret filler was born.
1960
Toupret designed the first special fillers for concrete walls and set up a team of demonstrators to promote the product.
The company began exporting to Europe, South Africa and the French overseas territories.
1976
A dedicated export facility opened in the UK. Hill and Rednall acting as Toupret's filler import agency and distributor in the UK until 2004.

1988
The production site was expanded, silos were built and processes automated. A new site was also acquired, with:
- 8,000m˛ of warehouse space
- A research centre
- A training centre

1997/99
Toupret diversified its activity, launching a range of decorative interior fillers.
1998/99
The company opened two new production sites, in Spain and Lebanon.
2004
The company opened its own UK distribution subsidiary, Toupret UK Ltd.

2005
The company opened a distribution subsidiary in Switzerland, Toupret Suisse.
